all the missions and PvP experiences in guild wars are "instanced". This means you get your own "copy" of the world which means that even though 500,000 people might be doing the mission, you only see *your* party and if it's PvP, *your* opponents. This also means that you want have to fight for 10 minutes so you can farm some items. Your Guild's Hall is also instanced, but you cannot use skills while in it. This is so your guild doesn't go to a guild hall with 500 other guilds in it and it can be in the same map dot.

Every outpost besides the Guild Hall listed above is *not* instanced. This means that you can see everyone that is playing in that area so long as they are in your district. Districts are just seperations of different areas. You can switch between them at any time by click the district dropdown and they vary in number depending on which outpost it is.

Okay so now you know instancing, There can be 4 people in a *mission* (PvE) up until Yak's Bend (which isn't very long) and then after that, there are 6 people allowed in one party. You can see the people in your party and no one else. There will probably be missions requiring more than 6 people in the near future.

In PvP, there can be a lot more people. In the Arenas (gladiators arena and ascalon arena which are randomly teamed PvP), there are parties of 4. This means there are only 8 people at once (4v4). In the GvG matches which have parties of 8, there are 16 people (8v8). In the Tombs, the amount of teams varies but they are always parties of 8. So the first mission may be 8v8 while the last one might have 6 teams! (i haven't counted how many are at the HoH... anyone know?)

Wow, I learn something(s) new about this game everyday. LunarWolf, I can correct you that you are kind of wrong. I have gotten a sence about this game ande I have never even played it! I have "fallen in love with it" and never even played it. I can't wait till next, next weekend. MARCH 18TH, BWE BABY! HAHAHA! YES.... anyway. This thread was very informative. Thanks guys!

And what stumpy said. You SHOULD be able to. I think the RECOMENDED is a 64 MB. A 32 MB will run it fine. That is the same for EverQuest. Unfortunatly... I have it.... Hehe.. anyway.... I JUST GOT A 128 MB CARD! "WHOOOWAAA!" YEAH! Can't WAIT to see how this game will be. I hope its like the movie thats in teh gallery on GuildWars.com. The second one... gosh that clip made me want this game so bad. And now you guys.. I WANT TO PLAY THIS GAME!

Yeah, when I first played Guild Wars, I was using a GeForce 2 MX 400 @ 64 Megs of Ram... with an Athlon XP 1800 and 512 of PC2100 DDR Ram... that's an average to below average system now, I think...

Guild Wars is pretty scalable, from what I understand... so if your system is lacking, you should still be able to play. Not with that Rage Pro, mind you, lol. Bring that to the Antiques Roadshow.

If you live in Canada, I recommend www.ncix.com for any and all computer hardware... if you don't mind ordering online or you live close enough to Burnaby to buy it from the store direct, that is.

Yeah, 256 MB of RAM, and a 32 MB graphic card should make the game work. Now what is recomended is 512 MB of RAM and a 64 MB graphic card. I USED to have that. Now I have that... NOW I HAVE 128 MB GRAPHIC CARD! HELL YEAH!
